march 2022: just getting started!

Dear Friends and Family,

Hello from Idaho! As you may know, we are currently in Grangeville working in the local schools, partnering with local groups for worship, and finishing up our college degrees online. We will be graduating this spring and our contracts with the school end this summer. It’s hard to grasp how suddenly God has called us away, but we are excited to finish here well! We know God has good plans for us in this exciting, upcoming season.

We were inspired to pray for the nation of Israel around New Year’s and asked that the Lord align our hearts with His desires for Israel. When we committed to pray for Israel, we had no idea that in less than two weeks time we would be invited to take a trip to Israel- and that our expenses would be completely covered within two days! It was a huge blessing and revealed how serious the Lord was in His invitation for us to join His heart for Israel.

When we went in early February, we were amazed at the beauty of the country and the sweetness of how near the Holy Spirit was to us the whole time. We met some wonderful people at the Jerusalem House of Prayer for All Nations and discovered that we share a similar heart and vision for prayer and worship. During our conversations with them, and even after we returned home to the States, our hearts were stirred with the possibility that we were being called to seek Jesus in the place where He chose to reveal Himself as a Man.

Fast forward through two months of prayer, seeking counsel, and contemplating the practicals, we officially announced our move to Jerusalem on February 19th! Our contract is for twenty-seven months and we will be serving as worship and prayer leaders, as well as serving around the base. We will be leaving Idaho on July 20th to visit Caitlyn’s family on the East Coast before leaving the country on July 31st. We will be arriving in Israel on August 1st and launching into preparations for the All Nations Convocation!

Just in the past month we have launched the website, started the blog, and are cultivating more methods of communication with our dear friends and family. We have begun the fundraising process by reaching out to churches, increasing awareness of our website, and planning for partnership events. We are also selling our car and preparing to rent out our house starting in June. These are just the first steps of our journey, but we are moving forward in faith and great expectation!

Now, here’s where you come in. A move into full-time service like this would not be possible without external support. It’s our great desire that we would have a large network of people supporting us in prayer and donations. We’ve started fundraising and have some creative ideas to get as many people involved as possible.

We need $15,000 for an initial deposit (covers the first six months) and then $2,500 (which covers both of us!) in monthly support after that. Knowing that people are supporting us from afar will encourage our team when we encounter challenges. We’d love it if you could be a part of our support network!

The best way to contribute financially is through a one-time or monthly donation. You can give through our website, stevenstotheone.com, through Tithe.ly, PayPal, Zelle, or the WordPress donation box. Tithe.ly is our preferred, and only tax-deductible method. We will also be hosting a few fundraising events over the next few months. Our first event is a Raffle that will open April 1st. Every $10 donated will be a raffle ticket entry. The winner will be drawn at our upcoming Community Yard Sale – Saturday, May 28th (from 8a-7p) and will win a gift basket of goodies hand-picked by us. If you have items you’d like to donate to the sale, the more the merrier! The third event will be a Movie Matinee at the Blue Fox Theater in Grangeville on Sunday, May 1st. Tickets will be normal theater prices for a 1:30pm showing of I Can Only Imagine. All proceeds from these events will go towards our fundraising goals. If you would like to be involved in any of these events, please contact us via one of the platforms listed at the end of this letter!

Thank you in advance for partnering with us in this adventure! We know it is a sacrifice to support us financially, and we want you to know how much we truly appreciate it. We also want to be clear that your prayerful support means much more to us than any donation. We’d also love to invite you to follow our blog and social media profiles for all our updates and stories! We are so grateful for our team of prayer warriors, generous givers, and Kingdom family! Thanks for being a part of it!

With Love and Shalom,

Michael + Caitlyn Stevens
